015 - Stuff From Team STRC

Today the postman brought me some new stuff from the USA that, in accordance to my personal policy of dividing the costs (Mr. Monti docet) and in anticipation to purchasing a Tamiya Cr-01, I bought some weeks ago from Team STRC a rear lock-out kit with stainless steel axles.
The price and the shipping costs are good and some weeks to wait are reasonable, I got no rush. There is only a comic thing: despatch comes from USA but it is packed with newspaper in chinese... funny.
Now, before buying the car, I must to wait only the Blue Bird servo that it's coming from Hobbyking.

014 - New Stuff From Austria

Today the postman brought me some new stuff coming from Austria: a Robitronic Speedstar 2 Rock Crawler Edition and a Robitronic 55T motor.
Awaiting to buy a Tamiya Cr-01 I explored the Net to understand what I could buy to complete the build and I decide that stuff from Robitronic is what I need.
In a few of weeks I will buy the Cr-01 and to split the costs I ordered from Kayhobbies.at the electronic components. I choosed this shop because it is in the EU and I wouldn't have no aditional cost due to italian Customs and because it is far from my home only 500 km and the delivery would have to be quick... unfortunately I live in Italy and the slowness of the italian post is worldwide known.
Indipendently to italian post Kayhobbies is a good shop, their prices are good and they shipped quickly. I will buy again from they in the future.

013 - Many thanks to Rc4wd, but italian customs are pitiless

From several weeks I feel a little unmotivated so all my cars remain unused on their shelfs.
All depends on my CC-01 based project, in december I felt happy because all the upgrades have worked well and all the handmade mods I did are fine.
The last touch was a set of good Mickey Thomson Baja MTZ wrapped on a Rc4wd set of stamped wheels, but things are not gone as I wanted: wheels looks as they were off centre (but they are not, Rc4wd are looking to understand what's the problem).
First I tought it depended on my inexperience with those wheels but after some rebuilding experiments I realized that it depends on wheels.
I ordered a second set of wheels but things are gone in the same way.
I asked Rc4wd on scale4x4rc.org forum and they kindly offered me a new set of wheels... but here in italian customs are remorseless and the risk is to pay their kindness as a new set of wheels. Thank you anyway Rc4wd!
Next month things will go better, finally I'll buy a Tamiya CR-01!
